I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving, had great food , and great time with your families! Many of you may feel guilty of what you ate, maybe even more guilt for the quantity of what you ate. Now that it’s post Thanksgiving, and you may have lots of leftovers, and possibly a bigger appetite than before Thanksgiving. I want to encourage you to eat healthy portions, even if its not the best food, it’s far better to eat it in a small quantity, than to over-eat. Be satisfied with the quantity, don’t let yourself think its not enough. Be determined. If you continue to over-eat, it can easily be difficult to stop at Christmas then into the new year, not to mention, give you more weight to lose. Remember that you are not a body, but a spirit living in your body. You are valuable, and you deserve to be fed delicious, yet healthy food. Portion your food, and desserts, and be determined not to get more. Let the amount you have be enough. Remember that because of what Jesus did for you, you “have been raised to new life with Christ,” so “set your sights on the realities of heaven.”(Colossians 3:1-2) Don’t set your sights on all the food you could be eating, but instead be satisfied. You control your body, your body does not control you.
